Funeral services for Cathryn Jean Bowman of Natchez, formerly of Clarksdale and Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Sardis. Wells Funeral Home of Batesville is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Bowman, 57, died Feb. 23, 2014, at Glenburney Healthcare in Natchez, where she was a resident for two months. She was born in Clarksdale on April 16, 1957, to Monell and Lonzo Bowman. She was a resident of Lincoln Residential Home in Brookhaven for 18 years and a resident of Graceland Nursing Home for three years. She enjoyed singing, music, dancing and playing bingo. She was Baptist by faith but attended Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Sardis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Frank Bowman of Clarksdale, E.L. Bowman of Monroe, La., and Alvin Bowman of Booneville.

Her survivors include four sisters, Peggy Ann Walters of Memphis, Tenn., Mary R. Jo Mooneyhan of Richland, Betty Lou McKellar of Water Valley, and Linda Ellis of Batesville. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins, along with a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Frank Bowman of Clarksdale, E.L. Bowman of Monroe, La. and Alvin Bowman of Booneville.
