Funeral services for Patrick “Pat” Boone Sr. of Copiah County are 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, at Church of Latter Day Saints, Hazlehurst with burial in Hazlehurst Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Boone Sr., 50, died Feb. 25, 2014, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Copiah County, other than a short time in Prentiss and New Hebron. He was a graduate of Copiah Academy and Copiah Lincoln Community College. He was a supervisor for Utility Constructors since 1995. He was loved by all of his family and friends.

Survivors are his wife, Jennifer Kelly Boone; sons, Patrick Boone Jr. and Justin Tyler Boone both of Wesson; daughter, Morgan Kelly Boone of Wesson; parents, Harold C. “Pete” Boone and Lanie Owen Boone, both of Hazlehurst; brother, David Lee Boone of Hazlehurst; sisters, Carie Lucille Mathison of Knoxville, Tenn. and Barbara Nell Boone of Wellfleet, Mass.
