Funeral services for Shirley Thames Gray of Dallas, Texas, and formerly of Omaha, Texas, were 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, at Harrison Funeral Chapel, Naples, Texas, with The Rev. Nolan Richey officiating. Harrison Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gray, 78, died Feb. 26, 2014. She was born in Jayess on Aug. 11, 1935. She was a bookkeeper with Arnold, Walker, Arnold & Company in Mount Pleasant, Texas. She was a member and taught Sunday School at First Baptist Church in Omaha for more than 25 years. She was a graduate of the Brookhaven High School Class of 1953. She was also an avid square dancer.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Weymond Gray in 2005 and her parents, Ozzie A. Thames and Meryl Boyd Thames.

Survivors are her three daughters and one son-in-law, Lynn Dickens of Houston, Lisa Gray of Irving, Texas, and Leslie and Dan Bryant of Cedar Hill, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Tracy Gray of Royse City, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Glenda and Bobby Thornhill of Brookhaven, and Sybil and Charles Johnson of Oakdale, La.; eight grandchildren, Matthew Charles, Derek Dailey and wife Michelle, Sara Gray, Kaylee Wilha, Kyler Wilha, Michaela Delz, Sam Bryant and Callie Bryant; and a number of other relatives.
