Enterprise stings Trojans

LIBERTY – The Enterprise Yellow Jackets climbed into the win column Tuesday night with a 17-1 victory over the Amite County Trojans in Region 6-2A baseball action.
“We played extremely well offensively and defensively,” said Enterprise coach Cass Brister. “Jackson Cole pitched a great game and our guys did an outstanding job backing him up. Hopefully, we can continue this momentum Friday.”
Enterprise (2-5. 1-0) returns home to host Amite County Friday. Game in set for a 5 p.m. star for junior varsity action, followed by a 7 p.m. start for the varsity game.

Jackson Cole was the winning pitcher for Enterprise with 12 strikeouts and one walk.
Lane Boyd paced the Jackets at the plate with a double and two singles. Josh Hardin, Max Miller and Jeffery Daniels contributed a pair of singles each. Hitting safely were Brady Watts, Layne Brown, Hunter Richardson and Cole.
In junior varsity action, Enterprise defeated Amite County 13-1. Luke Burns pitched the victory for Enterprise.
