Funeral services for Mary Lee Britt May of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2014, at New Prospect Baptist Church with burial in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, March 23, 2014, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive. She will lie in state from 10 a.m. until time of service. Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. May, 87, died Saturday, March 22, 2014, at her residence. She was born on Aug. 26, 1926, in Lincoln County to Olian Britt and Lila Jane Smith Britt.

She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. She worked at Kellwood Co. and was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Cloyce Mack May; and brother, J.C. Britt.

Survivors are her daughter, Peggy Lee May of Brookhaven; son, Mack “Randy” May and wife, Claire, of Hermanville; five grandchildren, Chris Fauver and wife, Krissy, of Austin, Texas, Cary Fauver and wife, Angel, of Mobile, Ala., Kevin Fauver and wife, Toni, of Brookhaven, Rebecca Melancon and husband, Ryan, of Lake Charles, La., Daniel May and wife, Rachel, of Brandon; 14 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and two sisters, Ruth Prather and Shirley Sandifer, both of Brookhaven.
