Funeral services for Eunice Stringer Case of Brookhaven are 3 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2014, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with a private family interment at Riverwood Memorial Park. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday, March 27, 2014, from 1 p.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Case, 102, went to be with her Lord, March 27, 2014. She was born on Aug. 12, 1911, to the late Gertrude Boone Stringer and H.R. Stringer of Bogue Chitto and was the beloved daughter-in-law of the late Lottie Laird Case and Rufus P. Case of the Loyd Star community.

She was a member of Brookway Church of Christ and was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who extended utmost hospitality to friends and strangers alike. She was loved and respected by all who knew her.

In 1965, she became a Certified Dental Assistant, having studied to attain the high standards of excellence required to pass the Mississippi State Board of Examinations, and enjoyed a gratifying career in that field for many years until retirement.

The later years of her life were spent enjoying every day to the fullest with her many cherished friends of all ages. She was a joy to be around, always exuding enthusiasm and optimism. Her love for her friends and family was second only to her love for her Lord. She was a constant witness to God’s blessings as she lived by faith, walked in His light, and leaned on His presence. She leaves behind a legacy of joy, thanksgiving, contentment, and peace.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 63 years, L.W. Case of Brookhaven; parents; father and mother-in-laws; brothers, Robert Stringer of Brookhaven, Clark Stringer of Jackson, and Flavil Stringer of Vidor, Texas; two sisters, Nell Nations of Brookhaven, and Irma McCaffrey of Bogue Chitto.

Survivors are her daughter, Sue Stout of Baton Rouge, La.; sons, Carroll Case and wife, Suzanne, of McComb, John Case and wife, Brenda, of Slidell, La.; brothers, Quentin Stringer of Jackson, H.R. Stringer Jr. of Brookhaven; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who adored her.
