Memorial services for Glynn Everett Blackwell Jr. are 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Antioch Baptist Church in Lawrence County with burial in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Dwayne Dunaway will officiate. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Blackwell, died March 15, 2014, at his residence. He was born on Feb. 9, 1954, to Glynn Everett Blackwell Sr. and Doris Blackwell.

He loved to hunt and fish and also loved the Saints and LSU. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday School superintendent.

Preceding him in death were his sister, Shari Blackwell; grandmother, Cassie Ainsworth; and grandfather, Johnnie Blackwell.

Survivors are his parents; two sons, Robbie Blackwell and wife, Holly, and Gregory Blackwell and wife, Tara, both of Bogue Chitto; and six grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Rodney Blackwell and wife, Debra, of Monticello; sister, Shelia Soileau and husband, Shannon, of Texas; brother, John Blackwell and wife, Jackie, of North Dakota; and several nieces and nephews.
