Cobras dominate Hazlehurst

WESSON – The Wesson Cobras dominated the Hazlehurst Indians Tuesday night to capture a 16-0 victory in Region 7-3A baseball action.
Wesson will travel to play Hazlehurst again on Thursday. Game time is 3 p.m. for JV and 5 p.m. for Varsity.

The Cobras overpowered the Indians on the scoreboard to finish the night with a 16-0 win in three innings.
Cobras’ pitcher Mack Smith averaged six strikeouts and no walks as the Indians were unable to get a batter on base with the aggressive Cobra defense.
Mack Smith and Tyler McLeod were both homerun hitters, which added the points to the scoreboard. McLeod also hit a single. Jace Alexander hit a triple and a single and Austin Crow hit a double. Other hitters for the Cobras were Preston Middleton and Jimmy McQuage who both hit singles.
Indians’ pitcher, John Bridges, averaged five walks. Trijarious Brown was the top fielder for the Indians as he fielded three outs.
