Lady Cats crush McComb

MCCOMB – The Bogue Chitto Lady Cats crushed the McComb Lady Tigers 19-2 Monday night in softball action.

“We played well tonight,” said BC coach Scott Leggett. “We managed to put pressure on them from the start to collect the win.

The Lady (19-5, 6-0) will be in action today as they prepare to host the Lawrence County Lady Cougars for Senior Night. Junior varsity action starts at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity game at 6 p.m.

Bogue Chitto 19, McComb 2 

The Lady Cats quickly took care of business Monday night as they hammered the Lady Tigers in six innings of action.

Christian Black dominated the pitcher circle for BC, collecting 10 strikeouts and giving up only two walks.

Paige Brock suffered the loss for McComb with three strikeouts and six walks.

Daley Roberts powered the Lady Cats’ offense with three singles. Alana Nettles and Terrah Nelson contributed a pair of singles each. Hitting safely were Mattie Avants, Christian Black, Colby Kirkland, Zariah Matthews, Mallory Allen and Alexis Givens.

Bethany Davis was the top hitter for the Lady Tigers with a triple and a single. Leyton Terrell and Ashley Bonds hit safely.
