Mr. and Mrs. Lester Mathis, of Brookhaven, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jerrica Jones, of Brookhaven, to Kantrell Brent, of Oakvale.

He is the son of Sam and Wanda May, of Oakvale.

She is the granddaughter of the late Carlos Mathis, of Brookhaven, Charles Carter, of Brookhaven, Linda Shabazz, of Summit, and Glondell Mathis, of Brookhaven.

He is the grandson of the late Cassie Brent, of Oakvale, and Geneva Brent.

The bride-elect is a graduate Brookhaven High School. She is currently employed at the Nissan plant.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Lawrence County High School. He is currently employed at Tower Automotive.

The couple will exchange vows at 4 p.m., Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Mt. Wade M.B. Church. A reception will follow at Lincoln Civic Center. All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and the reception.
