Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Smith, of Brookhaven, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Kacey Smith, of Brookhaven, to Phillip Dillon, of Smithdale.

He is the son of Tim and Sheila Dillon.

She is the granddaughter of the late Gene Woodrick, Kay Woodrick and Jimmy and Carolyn Smith.

He is the grandson of the late Herbert McSwain, Ruby McSwain and Harold and Doris Dillon.

The bride-elect is a 2014 nursing school graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

The prospective groom is attending Mississippi State University, where he is pursuing a degree in electrical engineering.

The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at Damascus Baptist Church. A reception will follow at The Crossing.
