Former Washington Nationals and Detroit Tigers centerfielder Nook Logan will be conducting a high school skills showcase at Copiah Lincoln Community College on Oct. 25.
This showcase is reaching out to everyone, from freshmen to senior, who is interested in trying to play baseball beyond the high school level. The showcase will give players the opportunity to show off their skills and talents in front of college coaches and professionals.
This showcase also offers the chance to enhance the recruitment of upper classmen and speed up the recruitment of underclassmen. It is also a good source to use as a measuring stick of where players stand amongst the competition in thier area on the same field and under the same elements.
For seniors, this can be their chance to make a great impression before they enter into their final high school season. For underclassmen, it will give them an opportunity to get a head start on their recruitment and get in scouts’ database. This data will be available to all college recruiters and pro scouts for years to come.
The following colleges will be attending: Ole Miss, Copiah Lincoln CC, Pearl River CC, Mississippi State, Coahoma CC, Mississippi Gulf Coast CC, Southern Miss., Northwest CC, Southwest CC, Alcorn State, Mississippi Delta CC, Northeast CC, Jackson State, Itawamba CC, Mississippi Valley State, East Mississippi CC, Mississippi College, Holmes CC, Delta State, Meridian CC, William Carey, East Central CC, Millsaps, Hinds CC, Belhaven, Jones CC and Tougaloo
