Funeral Services for Robert Cave Perkins of Hazlehurst are 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2015, from 9 a.m. until time of service at Riverwood Family Funeral Services.

Mr. Perkins, 84, died Jan. 2, 2015, at Veteran Affairs Hospital in Jackson. He was born on June 3, 1930, in Vicksburg to James Martin Perkins and Gladys Furr Perkins Buckner.

He was a retired cattle farmer and homebuilder, partner of Perkins and Yoste Home Builders and principal owner of Robert Perkins and Associates. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Episcopal Church of the Redeemer.

Preceding him in death were his parents; best lifelong friends, Edward S. Yoste and Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Perkins.

Survivors are his daughter, Helen Perkins Toldi; brother, Joseph Russell Perkins; sister, Virginia Perkins Munafo; two grandchildren, Brennan K. Toldi (20), Nikols Perkins Toldi (18); nieces, Mary Perkins, Pam Smithson, Beverly Robinson, Gina Peterson, Suzy Stephens; nephews, Joseph Russell (Rusty) Perkins and Bob Gillis; he was considered family to countless others who referred to him as “Uncle Bob”.
