Franklin Co. nips Richland, girls fall

MEADVILLE – As brothers go, both Kemo & Snoop Verdin had a night to remember Monday against Richland.
Kemo had a hat trick (3-goals) in a 4-3 overtime win, while his brother Snoop had 15 saves at goal keeper.
FC won the game off a penalty kick goal from Kane Gillian.
The Verdin brothers (Kemo a senior, Snoop a Jr) big game came as a team effort. FCHS won despite the elements, wind chills in the mid 20’s rushed through the air throughout the game.
Brant Mullins added two assists and Thomas Slagle one save in the win.
Coached by Jeff Long, the FC boys overcame Richland’s rally to take the game.
In the girls’ contest, Richland won 2-0 over a pesky FC ladies team.
