WESSON – The Band and Colette Alumni Chapter is sponsoring its fourth annual “Princess Ball” for fathers and daughters on Feb. 7 at the Thames Center on the Wesson campus.
Band and Colette Alumni Chapter past president and event organizer Mark Hamilton said the event is the first and best of its kind in the area, and not only will it be an opportunity for the organization to raise funds, but it is an opportunity for fathers and daughters to connect.
“This is a great chance for fathers and grandfathers to spend some time with the young ladies in their lives and really make some sweet memories,” Hamilton said. “We’ve had three great events in previous years, and we’re looking forward to another successful ball this year.”
The ball is open to fathers, grandfathers and father figures and girls ages 5-15. Two balls will take place from 5:30 until 7:30 and from 8 until 10 p.m. Tickets to the event are $30 per couple and $10 for each additional child. The cost of the ticket includes refreshments and ballroom dance instruction. Dress for the event is formal, and photography will be available for an additional fee. Tickets are available at the alumni office as well as the main branches of First Bank, Bank of Franklin and Pike National Bank in Copiah, Franklin, Lawrence and Lincoln counties and Copiah Bank in Hazlehurst.
Proceeds from the event go to fund the Clyde Wilson scholarship for band and Colette students at Co-Lin. For more information, contact Hamilton at (601) 835-6607 or call the Co-Lin Alumni office at (601) 643-8498.
