Funeral Services for Anthony Jerome Perkins of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at Avery Chapel AME Church with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, from 1 until 7 p.m. at Williams Mortuary. The family hour was the same day from 6 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Perkins, 51, died Jan. 26, 2015, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He was born on Oct. 5, 1963, in Brookhaven to Johnny Perkins and Elizabeth Howard Perkins.

Visitation is Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith, 89, died Jan. 29, 2015, at her residence. She was born on Aug. 26, 1925, in Lincoln County to Alvin W. Smith and Eunice Lofton Smith.

She was a homemaker and loved to sew and was a good cook. She was a graduate of Brookhaven High School and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Archie Smith; her son, David Archie Smith; her sister, Mildred Thurman; her brother, Alvin William (Sonny) Smith; and her son-in-law, Charles Howard (Chuck) Rumfelt Jr.

Survivors are her daughter, Linda Dianne Rumfelt of Augusta, Georgia; her son, Lynn Stephen Smith of Brookhaven; her grandchildren, Charles Howard (Chip) Rumfelt III and his wife, Joan; Robin Jaquess and Lynne Rumfelt; her great-grandchildren, Charles Rumfelt, Steven Rumfelt, James Rumfelt, Joseph Rumfelt, Katherine Rumfelt, Corey Gibson, Ashleigh Jaquess and Kelsey Jaquess; and special caregivers Jimmy and Suzette Durr.

The family wishes to thank the Caring Senior Service for their special care of Mrs. Smith.
