HEIDELBERG – The Loyd Star Lady Hornets saw their Cinderella season come to an end Friday after suffering a tough 47-24 loss to the Heidelberg Lady Oilers in the second round of the Class 2A State Playoffs.
“This was a tough lost for our girls,” said Loyd Star Gene “Moochie” Britt. “We came out and played a good game, but our shots would not fall. Heidelberg has a good team and their point guard No. 20 (Keyara Jones) is very talented.

The Lady Hornets finished the 2014-2015 season with a 20-7 record overall and finished second in the Region 7-2A race with a 8-2 record.
