Funeral Services for Willie P. “Bill” McTaggart of Sontag are 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services with burial in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday, March 11, 2015, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Services.

Mr. McTaggart, 85, died March 9, 2015, at his residence. He was born on Aug. 8, 1929, to John Hamilton “Hamp” McTaggart and Agnes Marie Reid McTaggart.

He was retired from the United States Air Force after serving 20 years from 1950 to 1970. He was also a cattle farmer and owned and operated McTaggart Grocery and was a member of Nola Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife of 62 years, Claudine McTaggart; son, John Kenneth McTaggart; daughters, Myra Denise McTaggart, Paula Marie Hutcherson and husband, Bruce; brother, John P. McTaggart and wife, Yvonne; sisters, Margaret Leggett and Esta Lambert; five grandchildren, Justin McTaggart and wife, Amy, Chad Hutcherson, Bridy Foster and husband, Lee, Lance and Lane McTaggart; six great-grandchildren, Tripp, Gabe and Micah Foster, Hallie Hutcherson, Judy and Abbi McTaggart.
