Funeral Services for Lavelle S. King of Bogue Chitto are noon on Friday, March 13, 2015, at Union Primitive Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday, March 12, 2015, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Services and will resume from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. King, 74, died March 11, 2015, at her residence. She was born on Jan. 27, 1941, in Pike County to Hilton Smith and Johnnie Matthews Smith Wells.

Mrs. King was retired from Kellwood Manufacturing where she worked for many years. She enjoyed traveling, reading and most of all spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; step-father, Bennie L. Wells; and brother, Charles H. Smith Jr.

Survivors are her husband of 60 years, James M. King Jr.; one daughter, Vicki K. Winborne and husband, Ricky; one son, James M. King III and wife, Annette; two sisters, Barbara Hughes and Wanda W. Gates of McComb; four grandchildren, Laurie W. Goebel, Rusty Winborne (Jennifer), Brandy King, Amanda Hodges (Elton); and five great-grandchildren, Hunter Goebel, Haley Hodges, Courtney Strong, Kaydee Briscoe and Kayeson Light.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund 3970 Primitive Dr. SE, Ruth, MS 39662.
