Lady Jackets fall to Cathedral

NATCHEZ – The Enterprise Lady Jackets suffered a tough 11-5 loss Friday night in a make up contest against the Natchez Cathedral Green Wave in fastpitch softball action.
The Lady Jackets (4-7, 3-2) will be in action Monday as they prepare to host the Brookhaven Lady Panthers. Junior varsity action starts at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity game at 6:15 p.m.
Cathedral 11, Enterprise 5
The Lady Jackets and the Lady Green Wave fought in a close back in the four innings of action as Enterprise commanded a 4-3 lead.
In the three innings of action, Cathedral outscored the Lady Jackets 8-1 to clinch the victory in Natchez.
Haley Nations suffered the setback fort he Lady Jackets with eight strikeouts and four walks. Carlee Nations (1K, 4BB) also saw action in the pitching circle as a reliever.
Haley Nations was the top hitter at the plate for Enterprise with a double and two singles. Karlee Burgess provided two singles. Carle Polk, Jana Nations, Kinsey Dahlin and Brooke Foster hit safely.
In junior varsity action, Enterprise blanked the Lady Green Wave 3-0.
Kristen Walker tossed the win for the Lady Jackets with five strikeouts and one walk.
Caley Cangemi, Kaylie Burgess, Morgan Smith and Molly Burke paced the Lady Jackets at the plate with a single apiece.
