BA junior Cougars beat Tri-County, twice

FLORA – The Brookhaven Academy Cougars defeated Tri-County Academy Rebels in a junior high doubleheader baseball contest Tuesday night.

The BA Junior Cougars won game one over Tri-County 5-3 and defeated the Rebels 7-4 in game two.

Justin Burt was the winning pitcher for Brookhaven Academy in game one with six strikeouts and four walks.

Coke Wright and Rounsaville carried the Cougars at the plate with two singles apiece. Justin Burt, Tanner Thurman and Dawson Flowers hit safely.

Dawson Flowers tossed the victory in game two for the Cougars collecting seven strikeouts and gave up only one walk.

Wright was the top hitter for BA’s offense with a double and a single. Hitting safely were Dawson Flowers, Britton Nelson and Justin Burt.
