Lady Panthers slip past Franklin Co.

MEADVILLE – The Brookhaven Lady Panthers bounced back after a tough loss last Thursday to clinch a 4-2 win over the Franklin County Lady Bulldogs Tuesday night in a non-division fastpitch softball game.

The Lady Panthers (13-5, 2-0) are schedule to be in action Friday, if weather permits) as they travel to Carriere to take on the Pearl River Central Lady Blue Devils in a varsity doubleheader. Game One is set to start at 5 p.m.

Katherine Shell was the winning pitcher for the Lady Panthers with four strikeouts and three walks. Rileigh Allen also pitched in relief and had one strikeout and no walks.

Shell was the top hitter for Ole Brook with a double. Jada Henderson and Haley Speaks provided a single each.
