The Brookhaven Lady Panthers edged the Enterprise Lady Yellow Jackets 4-3 in a early morning softball contest in the Loyd Star softball tournament at Jan Smith Delaughter Field.

The Lady Jackets came out and quickly jumped on the Lady Panthers to grab a early 2-1 lead in two innings of action, before Ole Brook rallied back to outscore Enterprise 3-1 in a five inning contest.

Katherine Shell was the winning pitcher for Brookhaven with five strikeouts and one walk. Rileigh Allen (1K, 3BB) started for the Lady Panthers.

Haley Nations suffered the setback for the Lady Jackets on the rubber with one strikeout and three walks.

Julianna Porter, Haley Speaks and Katie Grace Culpepper paced Brookhaven’s offense with a single each.

Jana Nations was the top hitter at the plate for Enterprise with two singles. Haley Nations had single.
