Ms. Debbie Britt and Mr. Darrell Britt, of Brookhaven, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Laura Marie Britt, of Brookhaven, to Joseph David McKay, of Brookhaven.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James W. McKay.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. Nollie Lewis and the late Hilda Lewis, of Brookhaven, and Mrs. Frances Britt and the late Heber Britt, of Brookhaven.

He is the grandson of Mrs. Delores Cloy, of Brookhaven, the late Jon R. Cloy, of Beaumont, Texas, the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence J. McKay, of Bronxville, New York and Mr. and Mrs. W. Bernard Duggins, of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Loyd Star Attendance Center and a 2010 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College, where she received an associate’s degree. She is a 2013 graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. She is currently employed with Loyd Star Attendance Center.

The prospective groom is a 2008 graduate of Gateway Christian School-homeschool division and a 2010 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College, where he received an associate’s degree. He also attended Mississippi State University. He is currently employed with Mississippi Ag in Summit.

The couple will exchange vows at 4 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Macedonia Baptist Church. A reception will follow at the church.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and the reception.
