Graveside services for Joanne Gail “Torrey” Lambert are Monday, May 18, 2015, at Nola Baptist Church Cemetery at 10 a.m. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lambert, 70, of Nola died Thursday, May 14, 2015. She was born in Los Angeles, California on Jan. 28, 1945. She was the middle child of five daughters of Nelson and Margaret Torrey.
She grew up in Ridgecrest, California, attended local schools and graduated from Burroughs High School in 1963. She had many interests and hobbies throughout her life, which included sewing, macramé and cake decorating. Joanne was enthusiastically involved in many fraternal orders, including Rainbow Girls and Eastern Star. She was also a world traveler having lived in places like Bahrain and Germany. Three children, Patrick McIntosh, Shar Kucala and Bill Gilmartin, were blessed to call her mother. Joanne married the love of her life, Jerry Lambert, in 1988, and they spent the last 27 years in devotion to each other.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Joyce Halligan, her Grandma Smiley; and her niece, Jennifer Burch.
She is survived by her husband, Jerald Lambert; son, Patrick (Shirley Costlow) McIntosh; daughter Shar Kucala; son Bill (Alice) Gilmartin; grandchildren Lisa McIntosh, David (Miranda) Crosby, Daniel (Neza) Crosby, Emma and Cole Gilmartin; great-grandchildren Payton and Haley McIntosh, Kaytee Jo Crosby and Andre; husband’s children Leslie Lambert, Suzanna (Austin) Rude and Jerald (Sheri) Lambert Jr.; grandchildren Keilyn and Jestin Welch, Crystal and Tiffany Rude; sisters Bonnie (Gary) Erickson, Rae Savell and Orrel Burch; sister-in-law Jo Ann Lewis; brother-in-law Michael Reeves; and many nieces and nephews.
