Funeral services for James Ollen Crosby, of Bogue Chitto, are 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Riverwood.

Mr. Crosby, 75, died May 24, 2015, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. He was born on Dec. 15, 1939, to Emmitt and Minnie Bell Hart Crosby.

He worked as a carman for the Canadian National/ Illinois Central Railroad for 38 years and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, JoAnn Dunn Smith; and brother-in-law, Billy Saxon.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Dunn Crosby; son, Ronald “Ronnie” Glenn Crosby; daughter, Rhonda Crosby Fielder and husband, Cam; sister, Betty Raye Saxon of Mobile, Alabama; five grandchildren, Zane Crosby, Kylar Fielder, Brent Fielder, Brookes Prestridge and Cody Freeman; one great-grandson, Grayson Prestridge; sister-in-law, Sue Dunn Golmon and  husband, Thomas; brother-in-law, Richard Carroll Smith and wife, Mary; and numerous nieces and nephews.
