Funeral services for Juele Dean Owens are 10 a.m., Friday, May 29, 2015, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial at Riverwood Memorial Park. 

Visitation is Thursday, May 28, 2015, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood.

Mr. Juele Dean Owens, 90, of Brookhaven, died May 26, 2015, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born in Atlanta, Louisiana on March 5, 1925 to Jefferson D. Owens and Ola Francis Bryant Owens.

He was owner of B & O Welding, and he served his country in the United States Navy and Marines during WWII. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mr. Owens was also a member of the Masons, Brookhaven Exchange Club and Seniors Golf Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and two sisters.

Survivors are his wife, Seldon Laverne Owens; daughters, Shirley Montgomery and husband, Jimmy, of Brookhaven, Kathy Roberts of Charlotte, North Carolina, Betty Sharpe and husband, Kevin, of Vicksburg and Julie Horton and husband, Phil, of Temple, Texas; brother, Jerry Owens and wife, Martha, of Beaumont, Texas; sister, Francis Crooks and husband, Clay, of Monroe, Louisiana; 11 grandchildren, Jim Montgomery, Terry Spencer, Beth Covington, Nathan Roberts, Luke Roberts, Jane Ellen Roberts, Scotty Weeks, Christy Jones, Misty Pigg, James Sharpe and Skye Allbritton; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
