Funeral services for Joyce James Herring Pennington are 11 a.m., Wednesday June 10, 2015, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service.

Visitation is Wednesday, June 10, 2015, from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Pennington, 76, of Brookhaven, died June 7, 2015, at Golden Living Center. She was born on Oct. 2, 1938 to Brooks James and Stella Mae Foster.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Brooksene Davis; brothers, Gayra James and Tommy James; grandsons, Peyton Flowers and Jared Lance Smith; great-grandson, Stephen Michael Weaver.

She is survived by her sons, Freddie Herring and wife, Taniel and Dale Herring; daughters, Madonna White and Jane Flowers and husband, David; sister, Ann Russell; 11 grandchildren, Kayla Herring Watts, Elizabeth Herring Watts, Jake Smith, Trevor Davis, Hannah Davis, Parker Flowers, Maggie Flowers, David Herring, Dusti Herring, Samantha Beasley and Marsha White; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Joyce James and Nancy James.
