Mr. and Mrs. Robert Virden, of Jackson, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Nicole Virden, of Jackson, to Berry Givens, of Wesson.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Givens, of Wesson.

She is the granddaughter of Harris Virden and the late Jean Virden, of Jackson, Peggy Maddox and the late Dan Maddox, of Jackson.

He is the grandson of Trudy Wand and the late Berry Givens, of Brookhaven, the late Clifford Wand and the late Jerry and Jeanette Lucas, of Brookhaven.

The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Central Hinds Academy and a 2013 graduate of Mississippi State University. She is currently employed with Hazlehurst Elementary as a second-grade teacher.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Wesson Attendance Center, Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Mississippi State University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently employed with Wesson Baptist Church as a youth minister.

The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2014, at Pochohontas Baptist Church. A reception will follow at the church.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and the reception.
