Board discusses drainage problem

The Lincoln County Board of Supervisors had little business Monday morning during its meeting.

Irene Byrd asked the board for help with a drainage problem. Byrd lives on a gravel drive off Katy Trails which she said is constantly being washed out and damaged by water running down the road. Byrd said she has tried multiple efforts to fix the problem, has lived at her house for several years and is looking for help from the board.

The board said its options are limited since it is a private drive, and the road is on a hill. Board President Eddie Brown said there is not much they can do about water running downhill, but he would have someone look at it that day.
