Two unrelated sexual assault cases, both with known suspects, were reported to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department Thursday and are currently under investigation.

One case involving a juvenile concerned an incident that occurred in May, according to reports Sheriff Steve Rushing cited. The juvenile victim was allegedly assualted by the mother’s live-in boyfriend at another family member’s home.

Another case was a 21-year-old female who reported on Thursday that she was assaulted a day or two before. She claimed her boyfriend’s friend assaulted her at a friend’s house, while her boyfriend was present.

No arrests have been made yet, and the due process of investigation is being carried out by LCSO as well as the Department of Human Services.
