Funeral services for George Clinton Barlow are Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Stringer Family Chapel with burial in Smyrna Cemetery. 

Visitation is Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, from 5:30 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Barlow, 79, died on Aug. 3, 2015, at Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Barlow served four years in the military. He owned his own business and worked for Jitney Jungle. He worked 25 years and retired from Royal Maid. Mr. Barlow was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. He was a friendly man who always had a smile of his face that loved to talk and socialize with family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert and Edna Barlow, son, George Barlow, Jr., and brother, Herbert Barlow.

Survivors are his wife, Hazel Barlow; son, Chester Barlow of Wesson; daughters, Janice Barlow and Brenda Foster both of Hazlehurst; sister, Emma Stegall of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Mason Barlow and Clayton Barlow; and great-grandchildren, Maci Barlow and Riley Barlow.
