Some students can’t wait to graduate and leave for new adventures, but for one Enterprise student his passion is what he’s always known.
Adam McGee, a senior at Enterprise Attendance Center, has excelled within the Mississippi Junior Cattlemen’s Association. This summer he was invited to visit the V8 Ranch and tour the Texas Cattlemen’s Magazine through the Mississippi Junior Cattlemen’s Association. McGee said he was chosen based on his leadership skills, and he was able to learn a lot of real-world skills.
“I learned how to make my operation a little bit better,” he said.
McGee, who grew up around farms, said he shows cows and enjoys many aspects of farm life.
“I just enjoy all the places you get to go, and you get to learn a lot of stuff,” he said.
McGee is the son of Pamela McGee and Fred Dillon.
MJCA is sponsored by the Mississippi Cattlemen’s Association. The youth organization was developed with the future of the cattle industry in Mississippi in mind. MCA believes it is vital that cattle producers, realize the importance of these young people and their welfare, as they are the future leaders of the industry. Therefore, they place extra emphasis on leadership development and consider it the key objective of the Mississippi Junior Cattlemen’s Association.
