Due to an overturned gas tanker, all lanes of U.S. 84 in Lawrence County are currently closed at its intersection with MS 184, according to the Mississippi Dept. of Transportation.

Motorists traveling west on  84 are advised to take Hwy. 13 north to Hwy. 28 east to Hwy. 27 south back to 84. Motorists traveling east are advised to take Hwy. 27 north to Hwy. 28 east to Hwy. 13 south back to 84.

“We’d like to advise the traveling public to avoid this section of U.S. 84 until the area is clear for travel,” said Transportation Commissioner Tom King.
