Funeral services for Annell F. Lofton are Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Concord Baptist Church in Franklin County with burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Ryan Comer, Jim Bradford, Bateman Stilley, Timmy Cloy and Wayne Johnston. Bro. Matt Emfinger will be officiating the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the church and will continue Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

Mrs. Lofton, 77, of McCall Creek, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb. She was born April 12, 1938, in Franklin County to Amos and Monnie Rollins Freeman.

She was a retired medical clerk from King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church and loved her church family dearly. She enjoyed gospel music. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ford Lofton; son, Clayton “Buster” Lofton; and sisters, Florell Freeman Cloy and Jonita Freeman Wallace.

Survivors are her granddaughter, Michelle Lofton; three great-grandchildren; niece, Tammy Cloy Bradford and husband, Jim; nephew, Timmy Cloy and wife, Jennifer; cousins, Bobby G. Jackson and Chuck Jackson; and a host of family and friends.
