Funeral services for William D. “Pete” Stanley will be 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, at Clear Branch Baptist Church with burial at Clear Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. until time of the service at the church. 

Mr. Stanley, 86, of Brookhaven, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born in Wesson on Feb. 15, 1929, to Charles Henry Stanley and Rhetta Jane Glick Stanley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Pray Spears Stanley; parents; three brothers, Henry Stanley, Sam Stanley and M.J. Stanley; one sister, Roxy Stanley Palmer.

Survivors are his sons, David Stanley (Gloria), Don Stanley (Melissa) and Danny Stanley; daughter, Darlene Portrey (James); sister, Jean Spears; and six grandchildren, Chris Stanley, Jeff Stanley, Dusty Stanley, Johnny Victory and Dylan Stanley.

Memorials may be made to Clear Branch Baptist Church Building Fund 2166 Clear Branch Lane, Wesson, MS 39191.
