Mr. and Mrs. Randy York, of Crossville, Tennessee, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Anna Rachel York, of Washington, D.C., to Lane Holmes Lofton, of Washington, D.C.
He is the son of Lynne and Bill Lofton, of Brookhaven.
She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John York, of Crossville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Dodd, of Liberty, Tennessee.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Altus M. Holmes, of Brookhaven, and the late Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Lofton, of Brookhaven.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Cumberland County High School in Crossville. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2008, where she received a degree in global studies and political science and was also a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She is a 2015 graduate of Washington and Lee University School of Law. She is currently employed with Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation in Washington, D.C.
The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Brookhaven High School. He graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in 2007 where he received a degree in history and was a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. He is currently employed with the National Cable and Telecommunications Association in Washington, D.C.
The couple will exchange vows at 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at Khimaira Farm in Luray, Virginia. A reception will immediately follow.
