Services for Joyce J. Ratliff will be 11a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, at Strong Hope Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements. 

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, at Strong Hope Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ratliff, 77, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.

Mrs. Ratliff, a native of Copiah County, was a member of Strong Hope Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir as well as many other choirs. She had a passion for bowling and working with her flowers in the yard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ratliff; mother, Julie Keys; father, Charles Thomas “Tommy” Jackson; brothers, Charles Jackson, Johnny Ray “Preacher” Jackson, Hulon Jackson and Carol Jackson; sisters, Laverne Hall and Frances Boatwright.
She is survived by her son, Vincent (Genia) Ratliff of Wesson; daughters, Gwen (Steve) Smith of Brookhaven and Dawn (Jimmy) Berch of Wesson; brothers, Ernest “Buck” Jackson of Wesson and Robert “Sonny” Jackson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; twin-sister, Loyce Hall of Wesson; grandchildren, Casie Fuller, Tabitha Ratliff, Stephanie Wallace, Katie Berch, Aren Case and Britney Berch; great-grandchildren, Ariana Diggs, Aubrianna Diggs, Ainsley Diggs, Laney Kate Wallace, Aiden Berch and Riley Berch; host of nieces and nephews.
