Tylertown sweeps BSW

The Tylertown Rams captured three victories over the Brookhaven Southern Wildcats in TNT Youth Football League action Saturday at King Field.

The Rams crushed BSW 32-0 in the 11-12 year-old game. Tylertown thumped the Wildcats 26-0 in the 9-10 year-old game. In 7-8 action, the Rams defeated the Wildcats 8-0.

The Wildcats play again Saturday when they travel to Ferriday, La., to take on the Trojans. Game time is at 10 a.m.

Tylertown 32, BSW 0 

Kobe Jacobs and Marvis McDaniels were the offensive leaders on the field as they powered the Wildcats’ (0-3) rushing attack with 10 yards each.

Defensively, Vincent Brown Jr. led the team in tackles with four stops. Otavian Calvin and Jalin Brown contributed three tackles each.

Tylertown 26, BSW 0

Malachi Clark was the top rusher for the Wildcats with 40 yards.

Kenneth Dixon also helped in BSW’s rushing attack with 30 yards.

Defensively, Nathan Lewis directed the Wildcats (2-1) with five tackles and had a fumble recovery. Jeremiah Hargon provided four tackles and Micah Harris had three stops.

Tylertown 8, BSW 0 

Markel Smith was the top rusher for the Wildcats (2-1) with 20 yards.

Defensively, Daylan Barden and Markel Smith led the Wildcats with three tackles each. Fabian Washington recovered two fumbles. Amon Herring Jr. returned an interception 30 yards.
