Memorial services for Mary Ellen Hutchins Jones are Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with a private burial ceremony at a later date. Bro. Greg Warnock will be officiating the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, from 1 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jones, 87, of Brookhaven, died on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born Feb. 6, 1928, in Vicksburg to James Gordon Hutchins Jr. and Edith Lavelle Bailey Hutchins.

Mrs. Jones was a member of First Baptist Church. She was co-owner/operator of Jones Meat Market with her husband Tommie Jones. The meat market was a long time business operation in Brookhaven. She also loved to fish.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, T.W. “Tommie” Jones Jr.; two brothers, James Gordon Hutchins Jr. and Hansel Bailey Hutchins; and sister, Edith Grenelle Hutchins Strube.

Survivors include her two daughters, Pam Reid and husband, Terry and Susie Patrick and husband, Stan, both of Brookhaven; grandchildren, Emily Reid Mulhollen and husband, Steve, Carrie Reid Sones and husband, Bill, Anna Reid Rushing and husband, Mark, Josh Patrick, Jake Patrick, Joel Patrick and wife, Julianne; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers for donations be given to Golden Living Center, Jenny Scott Activity Fund, Attention Jenny Scott, 519 Brookman Dr., Brookhaven, MS.
