The 2015-2016 junior high basketball season got underway Tuesday night at West Lincoln’s Jack Case Gymnasium.

In a close contest throughout, the Enterprise Lady Jackets came away with a 27-26 win over West Lincoln. Kristen Walker led the way for Enterprise with 12 points, while Gracie Knight added 8 points for the Lady Jackets. Julianna Crosby led West Lincoln with 8 points.

West Lincoln’s junior high boys managed a 19-7 lead at halftime and roared to a 46-19 win over Enterprise. Karlton Byrd netted 18 points, and Michael Brothern provided 10 points for the Bears. Enterprise was led by a 9-point effort from Jay Jones.

In a seventh grade boys contest, West Lincoln rolled to a 32-23 win over the Jackets. Jeff Carroll led the Bears with 13 points, while Trevon Jones added 7 points. Jay Jones led Enterprise with 17 points.

West Lincoln’s junior high teams will hit the road Thursday for a pair of games at Natchez Cathedral. Girl’s action tips off at 6 p.m. followed by the boy’s game at 7 p.m.
