Funeral services for Kenneth I. Roberson will be held on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Macedonia M. B. Church, Brookhaven with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015, from 12 until 5 p.m. at Tallahatchie-Oxford Missionary Baptist Association in Oxford and Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, from 12 until 7 p.m. at R. E. Tyler Funeral Home. Roberson Funeral Home of Pontotoc and R.E. Tyler Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Roberson, 52, of Oxford, died Friday, Oct, 23, 2015, at his residence.

A native of Lincoln County and Pike County, he is the son the late Mr. Irvin Roberson and Mrs. Lucile Wilson Roberson. He was a 1981 graduate of South Pike High School in Magnolia. He attended Jackson State University and the University of Mississippi. He graduated in 1984 from Northwest Mississippi Community College with a degree in mortuary science. He was the proprietor of Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home, Inc. in Pontotoc and Batesville where he was a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He was a member of the Mississippi Funeral Director and Morticians Association where he was state treasurer, past president and past chairman. He was also a member of the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association where he was governor-elect for District VI.  He attended Tobby Tubby M.B. Church where he was a deacon and choir director.

Survivors include his step-mother, Maude Roberson; one sister, Cora Y. (Allen) Barze, both of Brookhaven; one brother, Darrin G. (Angela) Roberson of McComb; nephew, Vernon (Dashicka) Fields of Brookhaven; nephew, Terry (Tiffany) Gordon of Bartlett, Tennessee; niece, LaSonga (Kenyon) Edwards of Brookhaven; nephew, Jeremy Young of McComb; Shericka Roberson of Brookhaven; nephew, Christopher Roberson of McComb; a special aunt and uncle, Dolly (Milton) Delane of Oxford; five aunts, Christeen Williams of Chicago, Illinois, Linda Rhymes of St. Louis, Missouri, Malinda Jones, Clementine (Earnest) Catchings and Cassandra Johnson, all of Hazlehurst; four uncles, Howard (Linda) Rhymes of St. Louis, Missouri; Edward Rhymes of Hazelhurst; Marvin (Linda) Rhymes of Jackson and Michael Rhymes of Ripley, Tennessee.
