Funeral services for Rev. Lloyd Gary Thompson are 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at Bethel Temple United Pentecostal Church with burial at the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015, from 5 until 9 p.m. at the church.

Rev. Thompson, 63, of Wesson, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, at his residence. He was born on Aug. 23, 1952, to Loyd and Flora Nell Thompson.
He was an ordained minister with the United Pentecostal Church International and was pastor of the First United Pentecostal Church in Wesson for the past 27 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Thompson; son, Christopher Lloyd Thompson and wife, Bridget; daughter, Lesa Thompson Dooley and husband, Jason; sisters, Barbra Jean Thompson Waldrop and Rhoda Gail Thompson Kyzar; five grandchildren, Alyssa Dooley, Anna-Kaitlyn Dooley, Lane Thompson, Brett Thompson and Haley Britt; a very loving Aunt, Mildred Browning; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
