West Lincoln’s junior high girls and boys basketball teams took to the road Thursday night for a pair of games against Natchez Cathedral.

In the girls contest, the Lady Bears overcame an 11-2 deficit after one quarter to snatch a 29-28 victory away from the Lady Green Wave. Bailey Wilson led the way for West Lincoln with 11 points, while Julianna Crosby added 10 points. Hailey Ellis provided 10 points for Cathedral.

After building a 22-9 lead at the half, the Bears rolled to a 40-21 win over the Green Wave. Michael Brothern sparked West Lincoln with 15 points, while Cory Harris added 10 points. Cathedral was led by Blake Pervin’s 8-point effort.

The same two teams will battle again Monday night at West Lincoln’s Jack Case Gymnasium. Game times are set for 6 and 7 p.m.
