NATCHEZ – The Brookhaven Southern Wildcats thumped the Natchez Falcons 14-6 in 8-under TNT Football action Saturday. In 10-under action, the Wildcats knocked off the Falcons in overtime 12-6.

BSW will resume action Nov. 21 as it begins tournament action, starting at 10 a.m. in Natchez.

BSW 14, Falcons 6

Markel Smith was the offensive leader for the Wildcats (5-2) with 100 yards rushing. Smith punched in a 35- and 30-yard rushing touchdown.

T.J. Smith contributed to the Wildcats’ rushing attack with 20 yards and scored a two-point conversion.

Smith also led the Wildcats on defense with five tackles, two fumble recoveries and intercepted a pass. Daylon Barton contributed six tackles. Amor Herring and Dassan Ardi had three tackles each.

BSW 12, Falcons 6 

Malachi Clark paced the Wildcats’ offense with 60 yards rushing. He scored on a 35-yard rushing touchdown and punched in a two-point conversion.

Javiontre Thadison punched in a 10-yard rushing touchdown in overtime to give his Wildcats (6-1) the victory.

Clark directed Brookhaven’s defense with six tackles. Kermit Sartin Jr. contributed four tackles.
