The Loyd Star Hornets and Lady Hornets swept a pair of junior high games from Enterprise Friday night.

In girls action, the Lady Hornets prevailed 27-23 over the Lady Jackets.

Kelsie Foster led the Lady Hornets with nine points. Malori Cade chipped in with seven points. Carly Beth Wallace and Whitney Watts netted three points each.

Marlee Gunnell pumped in a game-high 13 points to lead the Lady Jackets. Lynsey Nations scored five points.

In the boys contest, the Hornets nipped the Jackets 30-27.

Stephen Mills led the Hornets with eight points. Tanner Watts netted six points. Thomas Kelly and Reese Dehart scored five points each. Roberto Galindo had two points.

Wyatt Burns was the top scorer for the Jackets with 12 points. Dylan Vaughn chipped in with eight points. Jay Jones had six points, and Dylan Carter scored one point.

In seventh grade action, the Lady Jackets and the Hornets captured a split.

In girls’ action, Enterprise won 9-7 over Loyd Star. Molly Thompson, K.K. Jones, Julie Townsend and Belle Porter scored two points each for the Lady Jackets.

Marlee Rogers directed the Lady Hornets with three points. Jaycee Case and Marleigh Bullock provided two points each.

In the boys game, Loyd Star edge Enterprise 15-12, Thomas Kelly powered the Hornets with eight points. Wyatt Hodges had three points.

Dylan Carter directed the Jackets’ scoring with eight points.
