Funeral services for Ida Mae Tarver Lofton of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial at Rosehill Cemetery.
Visitation is Saturday, Nov. 21, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood.
Mrs. Lofton, 94, died Nov. 20, 2015 at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born on Nov. 18, 1921 to J.C. and Addie Tarver.
She was retired from Wal-Mart as a door greeter and was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Edward Barger Lofton; daughters, Barbara Jean Lofton and Peggy Louise Lofton; granddaughter, Teresa Ann Barry Kennedy; brothers, Clarence Tarver, Frank Tarver, Louis Tarver, Bill Tarver, Russell Tarver and W.C. “Buddy” Tarver, sisters, Eula Mae Howell andRita Faye Hill.
Survivors are her daughter, Frances Ann Martin of Brookhaven; brother, Guy Tarver of Hazlehurst; sisters, Mable Gibson of Ridgeland; Ruth King of Crochet, Texas; two grandchildren, William Lee Barry and wife, Sherry, and Michael Edward Barry; one step-grandchild, Butch Martin and Theresia; five great-grandchildren, Michael Barry, Ryan Kennedy, Christopher Kennedy, Cameron Barry and Allyson Barry, one step-granddaughter, Kalen Martin; one great-great-grandchild, John Preston Kennedy; and a host of many nieces, nephews and cousins.
