Funeral services for Cletus Walker Edwards will be Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Monticello Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, at Monticello Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until the time of services.

Mr. Edwards, 83, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. He was born Feb. 29, 1932.

Mr. Edwards was a member of Monticello Baptist Church; he enjoyed his church and his Sunday school class.  He is retired from Georgia Pacific and worked as a wood yard superintendent. When not at church or work, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Rufus and Bessie McCullough Edwards.

Survivors are his wife, Rena Faye Boutwell Edwards, of Monticello; son, Michael Cletus Edwards and wife, Karen, of Monticello; son, Billy Glenn Edwards and wife, Kim, of Brandon; daughter, Belinda Ann Stokes and husband, William, of Brandon; seven grandchildren, Brandi Barrett, Michael Y. Edwards, Tracey Walters, Richard Stokes, Adam Edwards, Aaron Edwards and Allison Edwards; and six great-grandchildren.
