Funeral services for Clarence Adolph Albrecht were Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, at 8 p.m. at Jones Family Funeral Service with burial Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham, Texas. Jones Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation was Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, from 6 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
Mr. Albrecht, 90, of Brookhaven, formerly of Bogue Chitto, died on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2015, at Golden Living Center (Brookmanor). He was born April 14, 1925, in Rosenberg, Texas to Otto Albrecht and Minnie Schmitt Albrecht.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in McComb. Mr. Albrecht was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a Seaman 1st Class and received a honorable discharge. He retired from the Houston Police Department after 31 years of service as a police officer. He also served with the Houston Intercontinental Airport Police Department for 10 years. He loved to Blue Bell Ice Cream.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Grace Albrecht; his parents; his sisters, Florene Lilly; and Thekla Martha Albrecht Swindell.
Survivors include his stepson, Bobby D. Lewis Jr. and daughter-in-law, Carole Y. Green Lewis, of Houston, Texas; daughter, Dora Ann Albrecht; and one step-grandaughter, Valerie Lynn Lewis.
