Fire department called to scene of gas leak
A gas leak on Oak Street snarled traffic Monday morning. The Brookhaven Fire Department responded at about 8:30 a.m. and kept pedestrians and motorists away from the scene until CenterPoint Entergy could shut the gas off. A contractor ruptured the line, causing the leak.
